MY AMAZING GRACE
"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, tha saved a wretch like me; I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now am found."
Precious inspiration, I savor your music that enlightened my soul. You gave me direction and hope when my thoughts were heavy with sadness. You showed me that it wasn't the end, and only peace and light were beyond. How do I thank you, my precious inspiration, my amazing grace? How sweet is the sound in my ears and the light in my soul. I will overcome. _________________ Heather M. Iverson |

Beautiful.
On a side note, there are many songs that are written in the same structure. In the case of Amazing Grace, the structure is the hymnal stanza. Other songs that are written in hymnal stanza can swap tune for lyrics with Amazing Grace. Some of the other songs, although not all exact syllable for syllable transfers, are: The House of the Rising Sun, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and the Theme from Gilligan's Island. |
